Congratulations to Pat on the Emmy Nomination of her documentary

The Cancer Dancer!

The Cancer Dancer aired in 2011 and 2012.

An Uplifting Documentary For Anyone Who Has Gone Through A Challenge That Has Rocked Their World.

Originally from Cuba, Patricia San Pedro was a highly successful business woman. She had a solid career and always met the goals she had set for herself. As a TV producer she won three Emmy awards. While working at The Miami Herald she created hemispheric relief efforts to help those affected by natural disasters. She was also in charge of Corporate Communications and was the main spokesperson for American Airlines in Florida, the Caribbean and Latin America. In the beginning of her career, she worked at Capitol Records and promoted artists like Paul McCartney. In 2005 she wrote and published a book called “Dish & Tell” with 5 other women known as the Miami Bombshells. However, this very busy life came to a halt in 2008 she was diagnosed with breast cancer – the same disease that took her young mother 20 years ago. From the moment she was diagnosed, San Pedro viewed her situation as an opportunity …

something that had come to life for a particular reason. Even when it seemed the world was crashing in on her, she turned it around, choosing to see the blessings and gifts from her healing journey. She videotaped her entire healing journey from day one. She also kept a journal of her journey filled with tips and advice for someone who is diagnosed. The result is her new book “The Cancer Dancer”. Today she uses her story to inspire others (www.PatriciaPositiva.com) and is now the basis for the autobiographical documentary TENGO CÁNCER (I have Cancer).
